Chicago intermodal container drayage is our strongest direct operation. Our company tractors and private chassis work the major Chicago rail network, including BNSF LPC, UP Global IV, CSX and CN/Harvey.
We handle import/export containers, pre-pulls, live unloads, drop & hook, empty returns and chassis moves/splits, with storage, transload/warehousing and final-mile delivery.
Dry van, flatbed/step deck and heavy haul/project freight extend the operation. Our established carrier and partner network supports nationwide FTL and out-of-market capacity.

Before you book
A few details to help you prepare your shipment request.
What information do you need for a freight quote?
Send the pickup and delivery locations, cargo description, approximate dimensions and weight, and preferred dates. Include loading restrictions or special handling requirements so our team can discuss suitable transportation.
Can you arrange both full and partial truckloads?
Yes. Full truckload (FTL) provides dedicated truck space for a larger shipment. Less-than-truckload (LTL) uses shared capacity for smaller loads. The right option depends on your cargo, route, and timing.
Do you run your own Chicago trucks and chassis?
Yes. Chicago is our core asset-based market, with company tractors and private chassis capacity. We handle 20-foot, 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube containers, pre-pulls, live unloads, drop & hook, empty returns, transload and storage.
How is nationwide capacity provided?
Our own trucks operate in the Chicago market. Nationwide and out-of-market work also uses our established carrier and partner network; we do not imply company-owned terminals or fleets in every market.
What is your role in air and ocean shipments?
UKA handles the inland side: port/rail drayage, container transportation, transload, warehousing and onward delivery. We are not an airline, ocean carrier or NVOCC.
