Start with the freight and the operating scope
Our operating focus is Chicago intermodal container transportation supported by company tractors and private chassis capacity. Nationwide and out-of-market work also uses our established carrier and partner network. We distinguish those arrangements so a service listing does not imply assets or premises we do not have.
Review the load before accepting it
Hazmat or other specialized freight is subject to the commodity, documentation, equipment, driver qualifications, and UKA approval. We do not broadly offer every hazardous-material class. Refrigerated or temperature-controlled transportation is not advertised as a core UKA service.
Dimensions, weight, packaging, load/unload requirements and the receiving site are part of the equipment review. Heavy haul and oversized/project freight need a shipment-specific plan.
Practical coordination
Container availability, chassis requirements, receiver appointments, storage needs and empty-return instructions should be established as part of the request. The purpose is to plan the actual movement and make the responsibilities clear.
Questions about operating requirements
Discuss cargo-specific documentation, handling restrictions and site requirements with the transportation team before a move is accepted. For questions about company policies beyond this service scope, contact our office.
