Final-mile & container delivery

Final-mile delivery is the receiving end of the freight move. UKA handles container delivery and onward transportation from transload or distribution points, with the receiving arrangement established before dispatch.

Confirm how the receiver will unload

A live unload, a container drop, and delivery after transload need different arrangements. Provide the receiving address, appointment, unloading method and access instructions so the equipment fits the site.

Container delivery from the Chicago rail network

Our Chicago company tractors and private chassis support container moves from major rail ramps through consignee delivery and empty return. If a container cannot move straight to the receiver, ask about a pre-pull, storage, or transload.

Out-of-market delivery

Chicago is our core asset-based market, with company tractors and private chassis capacity. For nationwide and out-of-market work, we also use our established carrier and partner network. Equipment and service arrangements are confirmed for each shipment.

A listed market does not establish a UKA-owned local terminal. Confirm the receiving location and equipment needs with our team.

Specify additional handling

Do not assume a delivery includes a liftgate, inside delivery, residential access or installation. Tell us what the site requires and we will review the arrangements before accepting the move.
