Ocean shipping and the inland connection
International container transport includes a vessel leg and the ground stages before or after it. UKA’s confirmed strength is the inland transportation side: port/rail drayage, container transport, transload, warehousing and delivery.
Establish who handles each stage
UKA is not an ocean carrier or NVOCC. Ocean carriage and customs arrangements belong with the responsible provider. Send the actual port or rail handoff, release information, container size, loaded weight and receiving requirements for the inland quote.
Commodity approval still matters
Hazmat container requests depend on the commodity, documentation, equipment, driver qualifications and approval. A general discussion of ocean freight is not acceptance of every hazardous commodity or an offer of refrigerated service.
