A receiving market next to the Chicago operation
A container moving from a Chicago ramp to a Northwest Indiana receiver needs a specific origin and delivery plan. Give us the actual rail ramp, release/availability information, receiving address and unload appointment. We do not describe Crown Point as a UKA-owned terminal.
Decide whether the container can go directly to the receiver
Tell us whether the consignee will live unload or requires another arrangement. If availability and receiving dates do not match, flag the need to review pre-pull, storage or transload before the move is confirmed.
Confirm the equipment for non-container freight
For Indiana truckload or specialized requests, provide dimensions, weight, loading method and dates. Chicago company equipment and out-of-market partner capacity are assigned according to the move, not assumed from a state listing.
Request transportation in Indiana / Northwest Indiana
Send the pickup and delivery locations, commodity, dimensions or container size, loaded weight and requested dates. Identify any ramp/terminal, release requirements, receiving appointment, handling restrictions and return instructions that apply.
Specialized or hazmat freight requires review of the commodity, documentation, equipment and driver qualifications before approval. Refrigerated or temperature-controlled service is not offered as a core UKA capability.
